Early life:
As a young child, Charles always wanted to fly. His idol and mentor was the infamous Chuck Yeager and concluded at the very tender age of 3 that his name was Chuck not Charles. The nickname stuck as his parents loved and devoted to his dream to of being like the great pilot Chuck Yeager.
In school, his thoughts and dreams were still in the air. He visited air and space museums much of his toddler years just awing and oohing at everything about space and planes. His small collection of planes and space shuttle go everywhere with him and he keeps a special small plane that resembled the Glamourous Glen III which Chuck Yeager piloted achieving most of his historical victories.
Education:
Charles began his education at Robbie Hall Parker Elementary, then onto Clintondale Middle School and graduated from Clintondale High School. His passion for the wanted the young man to pursue life in the military, namely the Air Force. His parents persuaded him to secure a secondary occupation and since he had a knack for computers and math, Chuck decided to enroll in a local college for courses. After completing each course with an outstanding grade, his professor told him that a military career in Computers or Mathematics would be more beneficial to him and the Armed Forces. But Charles was determined to become a pilot. His high grades and aptitude secured him a spot in the Air Force Academy. However, during a flight simulation, not only did he crash his plane, but destroyed the entire base. His instructor knew of his computer and mathematical skills and recommended him to higher places. Reluctantly, the young ex-pilot agreed.
Military Record:
Before joining the USAFA, Charles had to complete a basic training through the cadet program. His combat and military skills in fighting weren’t very responsive, but he did manage to complete his training. After the flight simulator incident, he continued on with classes in Computer Science and Mathematical Science. After his courses were complete (higher grades than normal individuals), he was approached by a representative of the Stargate Program offering him a chance to even further his knowledge. Wanting so eagerly to have “something” to do with space or flight, Chuck didn’t hesitate with the agreement.
His first year in the program was dedicated to studying. He became more interested in the computer aspect of how planes or ships operated and figured if he could find a way to a plane, this might be the route to take. He remained at the base and took part in only one off-world mission. After throwing up several times during the first mission, Chuck promised himself that he’d better take the time to get use to this new off-world technology or he’d wind up somewhere back on earth working in a computer shop as some computer technician geek.
Family:
Mother – Renee Christine Benchwood
Father – David Richard Benchwood
Sister – Shannon Renee Benchwood
Personality:
Although he cannot fly a plane to save his life, Chuck is adamant about still becoming a pilot someday. The nature of his stubbornness is silent with his actions, because the kind-hearted individual has too much of his loving mom’s personality to be brutal or harsh. Chuck cares about people and will be a loyal a devoted friend even if his shyness makes him reluctant to approach strangers. Having two left feet usually gives him the edge in creating relationships that unfortunately begin with his demise of a some sort of bruise or scrape to some form of his body. When meeting this handsome tall individual first hand, just be careful or you might wind up on your behind with him.

Roleplay Example:
To say Chuck is a lady’s man is completely overrated. Sweat beads continually popped up on his forehead as he awaited the arrival of his first date ever, Samantha. She was a tall blonde with brains and a body that would the turn head of any man. How he managed to get a date with her was beyond him. The butter knife supplied with his other utensils twirled through his fingers until it plopped elegantly across the table and hit the man seated across on another table.
The man was built and wore a biker suit. His beard and grim look told Chuck this would be his last day on Earth. He apologized probably hundred times, even when the man’s large hands consumed the fragile neck of this six foot tall cadet. A woman’s voice from behind broke the concentration of the already drunken biker and he released his grip. Chuck fell to his behind where he held his neck gently trying to retrieve what little air he could find.
The biker approached the blond with a huge grin, but she drop-kicked him flat on his nose breaking the nose as it hit another chair. ”Are you alright?” It was like an angel voice beaming over Chuck as the color began to recede back into his skin. A hand raised with a nod while the young cadet attempted to stand. ”Charles? Is that you?” came another question from the angel before him. All he could do was nod now that the color changed from the normal pink to a crimson red. Chuck nodded. She assisted up and back to his chair. By this time, the biker had regained composure more pissed off than before. He was out for revenge. He began to approach their table.
”I think” began Chuck in a harsh tone (still hard to speak after nearly being choked to death). He arose and took Samantha’s hand and began for the door in a run (well maybe a sprint). Once out the door and out of harm’s way, Chuck went to his car but Samantha stopped him. ”Look, you seem like a nice guy and all, but… Charles already knew the next line and finished it for her. ”I know, but this isn’t what you want or expected.”
She nodded and left.
Chuck got into his car to go home. ”Story of my life.”
